Heather Gillis HEATHER GILLIS

Heather Gillis is an owner of Physiotherapy Alliance. She works at the Stratford and New Hamburg locations. She is a national examiner, senior instructor and syllabus chair with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a professor at the University of Western Ontario. Heather graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a professional degree in Physiotherapy and completed her Masters in Clinical Anatomy in 2010.  Heather also completed her Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 1999 and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. She volunteers her time and clinical insights to physiotherapists looking to advance their skills and is actively involved in various community events.

In her spare time Heather enjoys spending time with her two young daughters and participating in Canadian stepdancing and clogging.

Darcy Trefiak DARCY TREFIAK

Darcy Trefiak is an owner of Physiotherapy Alliance. He is a full-time physiotherapist working in the Stratford, New Hamburg and Mitchell locations. Darcy graduated from the University of Alberta with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Zoology and then graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1994. He completed his Advanced Diploma and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. Darcy has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy and has provided physiotherapy services to a wide range of sporting events at local and national levels. Darcy is pleased to donate his expertise to our community at multiple OFSSA tournaments ensuring the safety of our local athletes.

In his spare time Darcy enjoys spending time with his two young daughters. Darcy likes to stay active by playing hockey and squash. He also enjoys running and cycling.

Jennifer Harwood JENNIFER HARWOOD

Jennifer Harwood is a full-time physiotherapist and the clinical practice leader with Physiotherapy Alliance. She works at the Stratford and New Hamburg locations. Jennifer graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 2000 and from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2003. She has continued her studies taking numerous post-graduate courses in manual, sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy. Jennifer has completed her Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physical Therapy Diploma and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. Jennifer has provided physiotherapy consultation and education to industrial and service sectors and to various community organizations. She has donated her time and skills to provide physiotherapy coverage to numerous local and provincial sporting events.

In her spare time Jennifer loves playing with her two sons, running, biking, hiking, swimming, skiing and practicing yoga.

 

Jennifer Masse JENNIFER MASSE

Jennifer Masse is a full-time Physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Alliance in New Hamburg. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in 2005 and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2007. Jennifer has continued her studies taking numerous post-graduate courses in manual and orthopaedic physiotherapy. Jennifer has plans to complete her intermediate and advanced manual therapy exams in the near future.

In her spare time, Jennifer likes to watch movies, read books and play with her dog Marty. She also enjoys running, dancing, practicing yoga and playing baseball.

Robert Docking ROBERT DOCKING

Robert Docking is a full-time Physiotherapist with Physiotherapy Alliance.  He works in the New Hamburg and Milverton locations and is the Physiotherapist at Knollcrest Lodge, a long term care facility in Milverton.  Robert graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology during 2007 and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2009. Post-graduate education includes courses in manual therapy, McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine, and acupuncture.  Robert has provided physiotherapy services at a range of sporting events.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys playing and watching several sports, especially hockey and soccer.


 

Erin Weinhardt

 

ERIN WEINHARDT

Erin Weinhardt is a full time Physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Alliance at the New Hamburg and Wellesley locations. Erin graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2007 and from the University of Western Ontario with a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2010. Post-graduate education includes courses in acupuncture and vestibular rehabilitation including treatment for vertigo.

In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and stays active by participating in a variety of summer and winter sports including biking, skiing, wakeboarding and volleyball. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and helps to organize a variety of youth activities and retreats in Canada and the U.S.

Andrea Kellough ANDREA KELLOUGH

Andrea Kellough is a part-time Kinesiologist at Physiotherapy Alliance. Andrea primarily performs ergonomic assessments and physical demands analysis.  Her passion to lead a healthy and active lifestyle led her to pursue a degree in honours Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2005.

In her spare time, Andrea enjoys being outdoors; hiking, canoeing and camping along with her family.

 

Marianne Wagler MARIANNE WAGLER

Marianne Wagler is a part- time Kinesiologist at Physiotherapy Alliance. She works primarily at the New Hamburg clinic. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in April 2007.

In her spare time, Marianne enjoys playing volleyball and soccer as well as volunteering at her church.

Amie Scheider AMIE SCHNEIDER

Amie Schneider is a full-time Kinesiologist at Physiotherapy Alliance. She primarily works in the long-term care facilities with seniors and people with special needs. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in June 2008 with honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education.

Amie enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and volleyball in her spare time. She loves spending time outdoors; camping, boating and swimming.

Amanda Gropp
AMANDA GROPP

Amanda Gropp is a Physiotherapist Assistant who works primarily at Knollcrest Lodge and in the New Hamburg clinic.  She graduated from Conestoga College in 2010 from the Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist Assistant program where she achieved an award of Clinical Excellence.  Amanda has plans to further her education in various aspects of this field. 

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors camping, rollerblading, running and playing a variety of different fun and challenging sports.  She also enjoys being with her friends, watching a good movie or reading a good book.

 

Andrea Kennel


ANDREA KENNEL

Andrea Kennel is a Physiotherapy Assistant who works at our New Hamburg and Stratford clinics. She graduated from Conestoga College in 2011 from the Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist Assistant program.

In her spare time, Andrea enjoys playing badminton, cycling and cross country skiing. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family and traveling.

Lisa Parker

 

LISA PARKER

Lisa Parker has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1996. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Lisa has kept herself updated by taking several courses, including ergonomics at Conestoga College, Cranial Sacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute, Reiki and acupressure to name a few.
Lisa has also served as an examiner for The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her husband and four children. She especially enjoys outdoor activities.

Shannon Bunnett

 

SHANNON BUNNETT

Shannon is a Certified Pedorthist (Canada). She received her Honours Kinesiology degree from Lakehead University, and then received her Masters of Science degree at the University of Guelph. She has been working with Pedorthic Services since June of 2000 in Stratford. Shannon also has clinics in St. Marys, Woodstock and Waterloo.

Shannon has been involved with the College of Pedorthics through proctoring exams mentorship. She also writes articles for the Pedorthic Association of Canada newsletter.

In the Spring of 2004, Shannon was fortunate enough to travel to Nicaragua where she distributed gently worn shoes to those less fortunate and continues to collect footwear to donate to local organizations. She volunteers with the Festival City 10K Run and at the House of Blessing in Stratford.

Alan Normand

 

ALAN NORMAND

Alan Normand is a registered Chiropodist and graduate of the Edinburg School of Chiropody, Scotland, (1980). A former lecturer of the Ontario Chiropody program at the Toronto Hospital. Alan has been working with Physiotherapy Alliance in New Hamburg since 1999, providing full range foot care and orthotic services. In his limited spare time Alan enjoys fishing, golf, and helping to organize the annual Embro Highland Games held each July 1st.

Lindsay Horst LINDSAY KEFFER

Lindsay Keffer is a full-time Administrative Business Leader at Physiotherapy Alliance. She primarily works in our Stratford location but may also be seen in our New Hamburg location on occasion. She graduated from the Medical Office Administration program at Mohawk College in April 2004.

In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her son, scrapbooking, watching movies and reading. She also enjoys traveling, skiing, cycling, and swimming.

Emily Van EMILY VAN BAKEL

Emily Van Bakel is an Administrative Assistant who works at the Stratford location and can also be seen at the Mitchell location on occasion. She graduated from the Medical Office Administration program at Fanshawe College in April 2011. 

In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys singing, watching movies, reading books, travelling, hiking and cycling.
